Part 6-1: Generic standards – Immunity standard for residential, commercial and light-industrial environmentsThis standard contains the German version of the European standard EN 61000-6-1 which takes over the International Standard IEC 61000-6-1. It specifies immunity requirements in the frequency range 0 Hz to 400 GHz for electrical and electronic apparatus intended for use in residential, commercial and light-industrial environments. Hereto the performance criteria are defined and the relevant test levels are given on a port by port basis. Furthermore the dedicated test methods are specified by reference to the relevant EMC basic standards. In relation to the previous edition the upper frequency limit for the test with electroamgnetic radio-frequency fields was extended to 6 GHz, the repetition frequency 100 kHz for the test with fast transients/burst was introduced, a clause concerning the treatment of the measurement uncertainty was added and a guideline for product committees was added as annex A.
