This document specifies the terms and definitions, test procedures and environmental test marks for optics and photonics environmental test methods. This document applies to related optical and photonic instruments, other fields (such as mechanical, chemical and electronic equipment) refer to the implementation.
Introduction

Analysis of the core framework of the standard and technological evolution

The new version of GB/T12085.1-2022 replaces the 2010 version and achieves three major technological breakthroughs:

  • New "Electrical (including electrostatic)" key test items
  • Merge "preferred terms" in international standards and unify standardized expressions
  • Systematically reconstruct 14 types of conditional test methods (as shown in Table 1)

Key terminology changes and practical impact

11 key revised terms

Optical and photonic instruments The definition is expanded from pure optical principles to "observation, measurement, recording and analysis" integrated system requirements, and the "allowable tolerance for dielectric transmission loss test is ±0.5dB/km" is added (based on the original standard 3.8.2 severe level clause)

Type of changeTerminology 2010 EditionTerminology 2022 Edition
Added definitions-Applicability of electrical tests (Clause 3.1)
Definition consolidationPreferred/permissible terms listed separatelyUniform presentation of terms (Clause 3.2)

Environmental testing implementation guidelines

Six-step standardized test procedure

  1. Pre-conditioning stage: Temperature matching error ≤±3K
  2. Initial inspection should include impact resistance assessment of protective coatings (according to Clause 4.3)
  3. Specialized equipment such as is used for conditional tests.

Enterprise implementation proposals

Optical manufacturing enterprise response strategies

  1. Establish an environmentally sensitive parameter database based on this standard (implementation case: an optical company improved product environmental reliability by 40% through parameter modeling)
  2. Focus on monitoring the residual stress relief parameters in the temperature alternation mode (refer to Clause A.7 Solar energy test requirements)
